Google Analytics Summary: Sessions Hit Record Low For The Last 12 Months

Gathering data is an easy task anyone can do in the 21st century. Organizing the information is a process nearly every good BI software in the market can accomplish, but providing insightful facts from dynamic dashboards at an affordable price is something very few can brag about. Consider the following Google Analytics Summary Recap built with Zoho Reports

Google Analytics Summary

Sessions fell from the month of May (dropping 36% to 188 sessions), and were nearly half your 12-month 449-session monthly average. The decline in traffic was a result of decreased sessions from referrals, which slid 73% to 36 sessions.

  • Your top ten pages made up 86% of total pageviews, which was up from the month prior. Note though that your top page by pageviews, Home page, saw pageviews fall 25% to 82.
  • Users navigated to more pages during their session last month. Your site had fewer total pageviews, down 35% to 237. Pages per session were up 2% to 1.3 and equal to your 12-month monthly average.
  • Among all your pages,Home page had both the highest bounce rate (100%) and the most pageviews (82) last month.

Traffic Sources

Direct traffic dropped off to 74 sessions from 110 sessions, accounting for 39% of your site's traffic overall. A month earlier, direct traffic made up 37% of all sessions to your site. Organic search traffic was up to 71 sessions from 40 last month, and accounted for 38% of site traffic overall.

New Referrals

check-nine.xyz... started sending you traffic last month for the first time in the most recent 12-month period, which drove 30 sessions and made up 16% of all your site's traffic.

New vs. Returning Users

Although new sessions fell to 170 last month, they made up a larger proportion of total sessions. Of your site's total traffic last month, 90% was new. Perhaps engagement was better for new users last month - their 87% bounce rate was better than returning users' bounce rate of 94%.

Traffic By Device

There was a fall in mobile, desktop, and tablet sessions from last month. Similar to the month before, the device driving the most traffic was desktop. There was a decline in desktop sessions to your site (from 277 last week to 173 this week); furthermore, only 92% of overall traffic came from desktop versus 94% from the month before. Though accounting for 6% of total traffic (up from 5% the month before), mobile traffic actually fell from 16 to 11 sessions. Last month, sessions from tablets were down to one from 14. In turn, just 1% of your site's traffic last month came from tablet compared to 5% the month before.

Locations

Despite traffic declining 19%, the United Kingdom was the country with the largest number of sessions again last month (83). Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl and Monclova dropped out of the top ten cities by sessions last month. They slipped from ninth to 25th and seventh to 13th, respectively.
